East St. Louis School District 189 recently issued the following announcement.

Notice of Public Hearing - July 18, 2019 

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive public comments on a proposed application for waiver of the requirements of section 10-20.12a of the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/10- 20.12a) to permit non-resident pupils whose parents are employed by East St. Louis School District No. 189 to attend the schools of the District without charging tuition and fees.

Notice of Special Meeting - July 18, 2019

1. The Agenda for the Special Meeting is as follows: Public Hearing is to receive public comments on a proposed application for waiver of the requirements of section 10-20.12a of the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/10-20.12a) to permit non-resident pupils whose parents are employed by East St. Louis School District No. 189 to attend the schools of the District without charging tuition and fees.
2. Consideration of Application for Waiver or Modification of State Board Rules and/or School Code Mandates.

The meeting will be held at 5:00pm at the Board of Education Building, located at 1005 State Street.
