2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 62002?

There were 73 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 62002, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Metro East Sun.

The data shows that 61 men and 12 women were released in the Alton zip code. Of the parolees, three were veterans, and the median age was 37. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017, and the oldest was a 68-year-old man convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2014.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Orville Foutch. He was convicted of a property crime in 2004, when he was 32 years old. He is now 47.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
