Bethalto home prices fall in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Bethalto fell by $45,000 while total sales decreased by 87.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $73,750 - a 37.9% decrease over the $118,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 48 homes sold in Bethalto in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Bethalto for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,567, approximately 3.5% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
