East St. Louis School District 189 issued the following announcement on June 16.
Dear School District 189 Families,
Many of you wonder how we plan to operate the upcoming school year given continuing COVID concerns across our region and state. Safety remains our top priority as we consider multiple options for delivering high quality education and services. We are preparing for many scenarios based on possible changing community health concerns, directives from the Governor and other factors. Additionally, we want to gain feedback from parents about your preferences, thoughts, and concerns.
We invite you to complete a short survey about the re-opening of school in the fall. You can access the survey from our school district website at www.estl189.com or click this link:
You only need to complete the survey one time for your family. Please be as honest as possible in your responses to allow district leaders to make the best decisions for students and families. We invite you to complete the survey as soon as possible, but no later than June 30th.
