City of Granite City Finance Committee met June 16.

Alderman Jackstadt called the Finance Committee Meeting to order. 

Jackstadt stated we have a Resolution authorizing the Mayor/supervisor to apply for Community Development Block Grant Funds from Madison County and a Resolution to solicit Bids for a Fire Engine that needs approval tonight and turned over to the Mayor.

Mayor stated this is the process that we need to go through for the Block Grant from Madison County and this will allow us to solicit bids for Fire Engine.

MOTION By Jackstadt, second by Williams to approve a Resolution authoring the Mayor/Supervisor to apply for Community Development Block Grant Funds from Madison County and approve a Resolution to solicit Bids for a Fire Engine. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

Jackstadt stated that next we have an Ordinance to declare a 2000 model 1990 Fire Engine surplus, and to authorize the on-line solicitation of bids for its purchase.

MOTION By Jackstadt, second by McDowell to approve an Ordinance to declare a 2000 model 1990 Fire Engine surplus, and to authorize the on-line solicitation of bids for its purchase. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

MOTION By Jackstadt, second by Williams to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

MEETING ADJOURNED.
