Report: Jersey School District spent $10,275 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Jersey Community Unit School District 100 was up 10.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Metro East Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Jersey County school district spent $9,302 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,275 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,556 to 2,552 students over the same period.

Jersey's spending in 2019-20 was 29.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
