Analysis: Shiloh Village administrators rank 340th in state for average pay

Administrators in Shiloh Village School District 85 earn an average of $106,666 per year, ranking 340th out of 864 districts in Illinois, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2020 average is 26.3 percent higher than in 2016 and 11.9 percent higher than in 2011. District administrators make 4.2 percent less than the state average of $111,293.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Shiloh Village School District in Saint Clair County enrolled 570 students in 2019-2020. There is an average of 195 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 171 to 1.
