East St. Louis home prices fell in Q2

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2022 in East St. Louis fell by $4,000 while total sales increased by 37.5 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June, there were 33 homes sold, with a median sale price of $12,500 - a 24.2 percent decrease from the $16,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 24 homes sold in East St. Louis in the second quarter of 2021.

The median sales tax in East St. Louis for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $622, approximately five percent of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2022.
