FOIA Request Sent to City of Lebanon Regarding Unpaid Parking Violations on October 28, 2024

FOIA Request to City of Lebanon Regarding Unpaid Parking Violations on October 28, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Metro East Sun have submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the City of Lebanon. The request, sent on October 28, 2024, seeks access to records pertaining to all unpaid parking violations within the city.

The specific information requested includes a list of all parking violations currently unpaid. This list should include the name of the offender, their address, the amount due for each violation, the date when each violation occurred, and the total amount due.

As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These responsibilities include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.

We await a response from the City of Lebanon and will keep our readers updated with any developments.
