HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital recently awarded Philip Gray, RN with the national DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Gray, of Trenton, Illinois, has served as a registered nurse in St. Elizabeth’s emergency department for two years.

HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers Scholarship Committee recently awarded two $1000 scholarships to area students through the annual HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Auxiliary Volunteer Scholarship program.

With the operating room ready for organ donation to begin, a recent intensive care patient at HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital was honored by staff from across the hospital June 30, as he was taken to the operating room to be removed from life support and his organs donated.
