The message highlights opportunities for families to support students in academics, athletics, and arts during the final weeks of school.

The update matters as it encourages community involvement in school activities and emphasizes the importance of student attendance through the end of the academic year. Dr. Skertich said, “The final few weeks of the school year are full of activity across our district. There are many opportunities for families to get involved and support our students.” He encouraged families to attend athletic competitions such as baseball, softball, track, girls soccer, and boys volleyball games.

Dr. Skertich also asked parents to share their experiences online: “Your voice plays an important role in telling our district’s story, and we want to highlight the many positive things happening in our schools and in our students’ lives.” He invited parents to leave reviews about their child’s school on GreatSchools.org.
