Emilee Travnicek, a former Althoff Catholic High School star, helped her current team, the Washington Bears, defeat the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops 73-68 in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 7.
The first-round contest was held at Branch Rickey Arena at 7:15 p.m., marking the teams’ initial meeting in this year’s tournament.
The Washington Bears are scheduled to play again Friday, March 13, at 8 p.m. at Kolf Sports Center.
