The RiverBend Growth Association recently named Gent Funeral Home, Inc. in Alton, Illinois as the small business of the month.
Each month, the RiverBend Growth Association selects a small business to honor with an award. It chooses winners based on a scoring system. The system gives points for number of years in the business, number of employees, overcoming adversity and community service.
The RiverBend Growth Association is the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development organization for 11 communities that make up the Riverbend in southwestern Illinois.
