The Health Department Committee for Madison County, Illinois convened recently to discuss purchase order recommendations, expense reports and the Public Health Administrators Report.
The first order of business at the meeting was to approve the Madison County Health Department Committee purchase order recommendations. Following that, a motion was made to approve the latest expense reports.
The committee then heard the Public Health Administrators Report. The report noted that clinics have been busy due to flu vaccinations. Approximately 3,000 services were provided to 860 patients in October, which is more than double the usual patient number. There was also a budget update for Local Health Protection Funds.
Also of importance was the Advisory Committee Report, where it was noted that Jean Schram, Health Advisory Committee Chair, attended the Madison County Youth Forum and reviewed topics on substance abuse.
The meeting was held at the Madison County Health Department in Wood River. Members present at the meeting included Michael Holliday Sr., Lisa Ciampoli, Judy Kuhn, Jim Dodd and Mick Madison.
