Madison County Planning and Development Committee discusses building permits, subdivision plats at recent meeting.
The Planning and Development Committee for Madison County recently met to discuss new information related to building permits and subdivision plats.
Derek Jackson presented information regarding file Z15-0079, a petition from Allan and Gay Tipsword to put three accessory buildings in the front and side areas of their yard. This petition was tabled at the committee’s previous meeting.
Jackson then brought up two subdivision plat proposals -- one for McKinney Place and one for Hausman Subdivision. McKinney Place separates a farm homestead from a parent lot. Both plats meet all rules and zoning requirements.
The McKinney Place plat was approved, but the Hausman Subdivision plat was tabled until a future meeting. The Tipswords’ request was approved.
Other important information at the meeting included the administrator’s report, in which Matt Brandmeyer stated that staff would use the winter months to make updates and amendments to zoning and subdivision ordinances.
