The Finance and Government Operations Committee for Madison County, Illinois, recently convened to approve the 2016 fiscal year budget and discuss three immediate emergency appropriations.
After examining the FY 2016 Budget Resolution, the FY 2016 Real Estate Tax Levy Ordinance and the FY 2016 Replacement Tax Allocation, committee member Holliday moved to approve them as presented. After the motion was seconded, it carried unanimously and the motion was approved.
The immediate emergency appropriations on the table included the 2016 Ebola Virus Disease Grant, the 2016 Health Department Local Health Preparedness Grant and the 2015 Health Department IT Tobacco Free Program. All three appropriations were unanimously approved.
Also of importance at the meeting were various committee resolutions, including a resolution to purchase VEMACS support for the Madison County Clerk and a resolution approving the construction contract for the Southwestern Illinois Flood Prevention Council. Again, all resolutions were approved unanimously.
