The Planning and Zoning Commission for Godfrey, Illinois, recently convened to oversee public hearings.
Gail Fulkerson presented during the first hearing on rezoning her property from R-3 single residential to B-5 planned business district. Laura Dixon, the building and zoning administrator, noted that this would not cause any negative impact on schools, traffic or adjacent property owners. The commission later approved Fulkerson’s request.
Up next was Mike Barton from Godfrey Storage Company LLC, who requested a special use permit to add storage buildings at 1519 W. Delmar Ave., 1523 W. Delmar Ave. and 4869 N. Alby. Barton sought to add additional buildings on the properties.
Dixon advised that the project would not cause any negative impact on schools, traffic or adjacent property owners. The commission approved the request.
The last hearing involved Julie Clayton, who asked for a special use permit that would allow her to run a counseling service at 3119 W. Delmar. The request was approved.
