The Granite City Industrial Search and Economic Development Committee met Sept. 6 to allow purchase of property.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MEETING SEPTEMBER 6, 2016 SIGN IN PAUL JACKSTADT DAN MCDOWELL RON SIMPSON TIM ELLIOTT BRIAN KONZEN ED HAGNAUER JUDY WHITAKER DON THOMPSON BILL DAVIS WALMER SCHMIDTKE BOB PICKERELL GERALD WILLIAMS Alderman Jackstadt called the Economic Development Committee Meeting to order. Jackstadt stated that we have two properties on tonight’s Agenda; a property at 1814 Delmar Ave and one at 2644 Adams St. First is a letter from Jason Brown and he would like to purchase the property at 1814 Delmar Ave. Motion by Thompson, second by Williams to have the Attorney to draw up the paper work to allow Jason Brown to purchase the property at 1814 Delmar Ave at a cost of $20.00 per frontage foot. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried. Jackstadt stated that second item deals with property at 2644 Adams St. and JAB Securities is asking for us to release the liens on the property. Discussion by the Council and the Mayor about the property at 2644 Adams St. Motion by Jackstadt, all those in favor to deny the request for the liens to be released at 2644 Adams St. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried. Motion by Jackstadt, second by Davis to adjourn the Economic Development Committee Meeting. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried. Meeting Adjourned.
