Mayor Ed Hagnauer called the regular meeting to order of the city council at
7:04 p.m.
ATTENDANCE ROLL CALL: McDowell, Davis, Thompson, Schmidtke,
Simpson, Jackstadt, Williams, Petrillo, Pickerell and Elliott Clerk Whitaker
and Mayor Hagnauer were present.
MOTION By Simpson, second by Elliott to approve the minutes from the City
Council Meeting on August 16, 2016. ALL VOTED YES. Motion carried.
MOTION By Petrillo, second by Elliott to approve the request from the
Granite City High School Student Council for the 2016 GCHS Homecoming
Parade on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., under the supervision of the
Police and Public Works Department. ALL VOTED YES. Motion carried.
MOTION By Williams, second by Pickerell to approve the request from the
Lincoln Place Heritage Association for the Lincoln Place Heritage Festival on
September 17, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., under the supervision of the Police
and Public Works Department. ALL VOTED YES. Motion carried.
MOTION By Thompson, second by Simpson to approve the request from the
Residents of Wilshire Drive, for a block party on September 24, 2016 from
1 p.m. to 5 p.m., under the supervision of the Police and Public Works
Department. ALL VOTED YES. Motion carried.
MOTION By McDowell, second by Elliott to concur with the Mayors
Appointment of Marc Griffin to the Plan Commission. ALL VOTED YES.

MOTION By McDowell, second by Petrillo to approve the Community
Cancer Walk on Saturday October 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., under the
supervision of the Police Department. ALL VOTED YES. Motion carried.
MOTION By McDowell, second by Jackstadt to place on file the Board of
Appeals Agenda for September 7, 2016. ALL VOTED YES. Motion carried.

MOTION By McDowell, second by Elliott to suspend the rules and place on
final passage an Ordinance to revise Ordinance 4849, concerning the
membership of The Graphic Review Board.

final passage an Ordinance amending Chapter 1.24 of the Granite City
Municipal Code, establishing an Alternative Ticket Program for certain
Ordinance Violations.

final passage an Ordinance to comply with 50 ILCS 145/2, to determine the
salaries of the next elected City Treasurer, City Clerk and Mayor.

Thompson, Schmidtke, Williams, Petrillo, Pickerell and Elliott voted no to not
approve. Motion was denied.

vehicles, for use by the Fire, Police and other Department of the City.
