City of Granite City Finance Committee met May 16.

Alderman Simpson called the Finance Committee Meeting to order.
Simpson turned the meeting over to Treasurer Valle to discuss the Hotel/Motel Tax.
Valle stated the current tax for Hotel/Motel is collected on the 15th of the month and she would like for the Ordinance to state that tax would now be collect on the 30th of the month. This is the same date the state collects there tax.
Discussion by the Mayor, City Attorney, Valle and Council about the changes to the Hotel/Motel tax.
Motion by McDowell, second by Simpson to have the attorney draw up the necessary paperwork to make the changes to the Hotel/Motel Tax. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Simpson, second by Jackstadt to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried.
