Unpaid fines for Cahokia-based campaign committee totaled $8,425 in January 2017

One campaign committee in Cahokia has overdue fines amounting to a total of $8,425, records obtained by the Metro East Sun show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Citizens to Elect David Fults was the only campaign committee in Cahokia that was delinquent in payment for January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The largest fine that Citizens to Elect David Fults has yet to pay was imposed on Feb. 27, 2015, for a late D-1 report. The amount of this fine alone is $3,750.
