The reigning Ohio Valley Conference women’s soccer champion Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville Cougars recently announced its schedule for the upcoming season.
After two preseason games, the Cougars will open the regular season on Aug. 18 when they take on Clemson University at the Hoosier Challenge Cup, which is hosted by the University of Indiana. Two days later, SIUE will face off against California Polytechnic State University in their second game of the tournament.
Then the Cougars will return to Edwardsville for the home opener on Aug. 24, against Western Illinois University. On Sep. 15, SIUE will open up conference play when they host Belmont University.
The OVC tournament will get underway on Oct. 27.
