City of Edwardsville City Council met May 2.

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Edwardsville City Council was held at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers with Mayor Patton presiding.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
Honorable Steve Stobbs, Associate Judge, Third Circuit Court administered the Oath of Office to Hal Patton, Mayor; Dennis McCracken, City Clerk; Rich Hampton, City Treasurer; Aldermen Jack Burns, Ward 2; Aldermen SJ Morrison, Ward 4 and Aldermen Craig Louer, Ward 6.
Mayor Patton called for roll of the Council Aidermen Risavy, Morrison, Krause, Louer, Stack and Burns answered present on roll call. Aldermen Stamer was excused.
Motion by Louer, seconded by Krause, to approve the Aldermanic Committee Appointments.

The "Hit It Out of The Park" Award was issued to Doug Reames of the City of Edwardsville Street Department.
Mayor Patton recognized the number of volunteers who serve the City through Boards and Commissions providing talent, dedication, passion and years of service.
Mayor Patton gave a Power Point presentation on the ongoing projects of The City of Edwardsville. Such as the Joint Public Safety Facility, Plummer Family Park, the completion of many projects within the city. He also acknowledged all of the new investors in our Community such as: Starbucks, Queen's Cuisine, BlueWave Martial Arts & Fitness, Flint Law Firm, Prairie Farms, Amazon, First To The Finish to name a few.
Mayor Patton presented statistics for Parks & Recreation and the Wildey in regards to the number of visitors, activities, programs and events provided by each entity. He also recognized Walter Williams, Economic Community Development Director on his hard work he has done on the Economic Development Marketing Brochure.
Mayor Patton then recognized each Aldermen from their prospective ward, and commended them on their dedication and years of service.
Council adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
