Rosewood Heights FPD responds to 35 fires in 2016

Rosewood Heights Fire Protection District responded to 64 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the Metro East Sun.

The calls in Rosewood Heights included 35 fires - 10 structure fires, one vehicle fire and 21 other fires. The fire department also responded to three calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $3,560 in fire loss - or about $102 per fire.

The department also received 29 false calls, including one malicious call and 28 other false calls.
