Alton Historical Commission met Nov. 20.

Here is the minutes provided by the Commission

MEMBERS PRESENT: Chase Green, Monica Mason, Diane Plummer, Charlene Walker

MEMBERS NOT PRESENT: Doug Bader, Mary Anderson, Jonas Janek

OTHERS PRESENT: Mark and Kim Ansell, Jim and Cheryl Horn, Deanna Barnes, Deputy Director of Building & Zoning, Becky Brunaugh, Secretary

The meeting of the Alton Historic Commission was called to order by Monica Mason at 7:40 p.m. on November 20, 2017.

Chase Green made a motion to accept the minutes for November 7, 2017 as presented. Charlene Walker seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

APPLICATIONS:

Jim Horn presented the application for 440 Bluff St. He is proposing a new front door with etched glass, rebuilding the front porch to include aluminum railing, and replacing the existing lattice work. The porch will have squared balusters and replacement columns.

Diane Plummer made a motion to accept the application as presented. Charlene Walker seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Mark and Kim Ansell presented the application for 901 Henry St. They are proposing a 6’ privacy fence, 36’ in length. It is to curve around the back patio.

Chase Green moved to accept the application as presented. Diane Plummer seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

OTHER BUSINESS:

There being no further discussion or comments from the public, the meeting was adjourned at 7:58 p.m.
