Analysis: Maryville pays $4.85 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Maryville Firefighter's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.9 percent of the $114,903 the Maryville Firefighter's Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.85 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Maryville contributed $95,265 to the fund, which saw a $8,999 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $19,638, or 17.1 percent, in 2016.
