TOUCHETTE REGIONAL HOSPITAL: New Surgeon Joins Touchette Regional Hospital in Centreville

Touchette Regional Hospital issued the following announcement on May 2.

Touchette Regional Hospital (TRH) is pleased to announce that general and laparoscopic surgeon Pierre Gilles, MD has joined its staff at 5900 Bond Avenue, Centreville, Ill. Dr. Gilles has over 40-years of experience that includes but is not limited to breast disease care, neck endocrine management, as well as all facets of general surgery including advanced minimally invasive surgery and complex hernia care.

“Touchette is known for serving the integrated healthcare needs of this region through direct care, education and compassion,” said Dr. Gilles. “Like Touchette, I am passionate about patient care through my commitment to excellence in comprehensive surgical care. I treat my patients the way I would want my family treated and I enjoy interacting with and educating patients, residents and staff on the ‘bigger picture’ of total patient wellness. Dr. Gilles attended and graduated from the 6-year Honors Program Medical School at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his General Surgery Internship at Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas and his residency in General Surgery at Huron Road Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. He also has extensive teaching experience of surgery and family medicine residents, as well as nurse practitioners and other ancillary medical services.
