Touchette Regional Hospital issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.
Touchette Regional Hospital (TRH) is inviting the public to participate in its annual fall blood drive on Nov. 2, 2018. The event will be held at the Touchette Elderly Apartments in the Community Room, located at 5880 Bond Avenue in Centreville, Ill.
“The need for blood transfusions, not just locally but around the world, is so great,” said Felecia Jackson, community outreach specialist at TRH. “The generous donations from participants will help people in our very own community. It’s a great feeling and a great way to give back.”
The blood drive is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. through the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC). Blood donation can take 45 minutes to one hour and light snacks will be served to all donors. To learn about donor eligibility you can contact MVRBC Donor Support at 800-747-5401 ext. 1281.
