Democrat Rachelle Aud Crowe has been declared the winner in the 56th Senate District race against Downstate United candidate Hal Patton.
With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Aud Crowe had 58 percent of the vote with a total of 45,356 votes.
Patton received 42 percent of the vote with a total of 32,397 votes.
