Tanya Hildenbrand led Democrat Christopher Belt in votes cast in Freeburg Township for the District 57 state Senate race, according to the latest vote count.
Hildenbrand appeared to outpace Belt by a margin of 36.7 percent on Tuesday in the township.
In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Ruocco Katherine, won by a margin of 52.2 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Clayborne, Jr., II, who received 415 votes to Katherine's 1,321.
