Tanya Hildenbrand led Democrat Christopher Belt in votes cast in Millstadt Township for the District 57 state Senate race, according to the latest vote count.
Hildenbrand appeared to outpace Belt by a margin of 31.6 percent on Tuesday in the township.
In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Ruocco Katherine, won by a margin of 41.4 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Clayborne, Jr., II, who received 462 votes to Katherine's 1,116.
