Village of Glen Carbon issued the following announcement on Feb. 19.
Welcome Stacy Jose, our new Glen Carbon Building and Zoning Administrator! The Building and Zoning Administrator is responsible for the enforcement of the Village Building Code. The position involves investigating, supervising the enforcement of all applicable building codes, all rentals and zoning codes, property maintenance codes, and ensuring that residential, commercial, and industrial properties meet minimum requirements.
Ms. Jose previously served as the Director of Building and Zoning for Wood River. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from SIU Edwardsville. Given her education, background and experience, we believe she will be an asset for Glen Carbon.
On February 12, 2019, the Glen Carbon Village Board voted to approve the nomination of Ms. Jose as our next Building and Zoning Administrator. She started work on February 19, 2019.
