East St. Louis home prices rise in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in East St. Louis rose by $500 while total sales decreased by 21.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 25 homes sold, with a median sale price of $10,000 - a 5.3% increase over the $9,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 32 homes sold in East St. Louis in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in East St. Louis for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $543.10, approximately 5.4% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
