Smithton home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Smithton rose by $1,250 while total sales increased by 16.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were 28 homes sold, with a median sale price of $191,250 - a 0.7% increase over the $190,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 24 homes sold in Smithton in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Smithton for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,556.60, approximately 2.4% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2018.
