Wood River home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Wood River rose by $3,750 while total sales decreased by 2.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 193 homes sold, with a median sale price of $65,000 - a 6.1% increase over the $61,250 median sale price for the previous year. There were 198 homes sold in Wood River in 2016.

The median sales tax in Wood River for 2017 was $1,574. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,524. This marks an increase of 3.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.4%.
