Livingston home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Livingston rose by $3,500 while total sales increased by 75%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 21 homes sold, with a median sale price of $46,000 - a 8.2% increase over the $42,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Livingston in 2016.

The median sales tax in Livingston for 2017 was $748. In 2016, the median sales tax was $732. This marks an increase of 2.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.6%.
