East St. Louis home prices fall in March 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2017 in East St. Louis fell by $6,500 while total sales decreased by 16.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $9,000 - a 41.9% decrease over the $15,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in East St. Louis in March 2016.

The median sales tax in East St. Louis for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $543, approximately 6% of the median home sale price for March 2017.
