Village of Hartford Mayor and Board of Trustees met May 21.

1. Mayor Hickerson called the Village Board to order at 6:30 PM.
2. Roll Call of Board Members
A. On roll call, the following Board Members were present: Clinton Caldwell, Chris Fulkerson, Jamie Harrop, Kristie Luebbert, Michelle Prickett, and William Robertson.
B. Also present were: Village Attorney Chris Donohoo, Village Clerk Emme Flanigan, Treasurer Chessie Brame, and Tom and Jami Rose.

A. On motion of Robertson, seconded by Caldwell, it was voted to approve the 5/7/2019 minutes as recorded by the Clerk. Ayes: Caldwell, Harrop, Luebbert, Prickett, Robertson. Nays: None. Abstain: Fulkerson. Motion carried.

13. Safety Committee (Fulkerson, Caldwell, Luebbert)
A. Trustee Fulkerson motioned to hire Jami and Tom Rose as Fire Fighters pending physical, drug test, and background check. The motion was seconded by Trustee Caldwell and it was voted to approve the hiring of Jami and Tom Rose. Ayes: Caldwell, Fulkerson, Harrop, Luebbert, Prickett, and Robertson. Nays: None. Motion unanimous.
14. Ordinance Committee (Robertson, Luebbert, Harrop): Nothing to report.
15. Public Works Committee (Harrop, Fulkerson, Robertson): Nothing to report.
16. Public Utilities Committee (Caldwell, Robertson, Prickett): Nothing to report.

19. Allowable claims against the Village
A. Trustee Prickett reported vendor claims of $163,650.13, plus payroll claims of $35,157.11, for total claims of $198,807.24. On motion of Prickett, seconded by Fulkerson, it was voted to pay the allowable claims against the Village in the total amount of $198,807.24. Ayes: Caldwell, Fulkerson, Harrop, Luebbert, Prickett, and Robertson. Nays: None. Motion unanimous.
20. There were no Citizen comments.
21. New business from the Board
> The Mayor wanted to welcome Trustee Robertson and Trustee Luebbert to the Board with hopes of a great relationship going forward with the Village.
> Mayor Hickerson also said that he'd like to hire Devin Preston pending a drug test because the Village's Head Water Operator, Karl Bowermaster, will be out the next five weeks due to knee surgery.
