2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 62226?

There were 20 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 62226, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Metro East Sun.

The data shows that 19 men and one woman were released in the Belleville zip code. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2016, and the oldest was a 56-year-old man convicted of a financial crime or fraud in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Zachary Pinkerton. He was convicted of a property crime in 2016, when he was 26 years old. He is now 29.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
