City of Belleville issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.
The City of Belleville in coordination with Hank's Excavating & Landscaping, Inc. announced that construction on the next phase of the streetscape will begin on Monday, Oct. 21.
During construction, businesses along W. Main Street will remain open. However, all parking along W. Main Street will be closed to accommodate the construction project and ensure safety. Construction will run from 6th-12th streets along W. Main Street and will begin on the south side of the street. Business patrons are encouraged to park along the side streets or at the parking lot at W. Main and 10th Street, which has been designated specifically for patron parking during construction of the streetscape project.
