City of Edwardsville Finance Committee met Oct. 29.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
Aldermen SJ Morrison called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m, in the Governor Edwards Conference Room in City Hall, located at 118 Hillsboro Avenue in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Roll Call: Aldermen SJ Morrison and Craig Louer answered present. Aldermen Farrar was excused.
Also Present: Jeanne Wojcieszak, City Clerk/Collector; Hal Patton, Mayor; Jeff Berkbigler, City Attorney: Walter Williams, Economic Community Development Director: Eric Williams, Public Works Director, Emily Fultz, City Planner; Karen Zimmerman, 6633 Fox View Drive, Edwardsville, IL, and Charles Bolinger, Edwardsville Intelligencer,
Karen Zimmerman addressed the committee inquiring when the Joint Review Board meetings will be held.
Motion by Louer, seconded by Morrison, to approve the minutes of the Finance Committee meeting held on October 08, 2019, Motion Carried with Morrison and Louer voting aye.
Group Health Insurance Fund Report to be announced at the Tuesday, November 05, 2019 Council meeting

Claims amount will be announced at the Tuesday, November 05, 2019 Council meeting.
Motion by Louer, seconded by Morrison, to approve and forward to Council an Ordinance Dissolving the Special Tax Allocation Fund and Terminating the Designation of the City of Edwardsville North Gateway Commerce Center Tax Increment Redevelopment Project Area (TIF No. 3) Within the City of Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois. Motion carried, with Morrison and Louer voting aye.
Motion by Louer, seconded by Morrison, to approve and forward to Council a Commercial Building Façade Application for Old News, LLC located at 115 N. Second Street, in the amount not to exceed $15,000.00
Motion by Louer, seconded by Morrison, to amend the amount not to exceed $10,000.00 per the recommendation of the Façade Committee. Motion carried, with Morrison and Louer voting aye.
Morrison read the amended motion as to approve and forward to Council a Commercial Building Façade Application for Old News, LLC located at 115 N. Second Street in the amount not to exceed $10,000.00. Motion carried, with Morrison and Louer voting aye.
Motion by Louer, seconded by Morrison, to approve and forward to Council a Commercial Building Façade Application for Old News, LLC located at 117 N. Second Street, in the amount not to exceed $15,000.00. Motion carried, with Morrison and Louer voting aye.
Walter Williams, Director of Economic Development Director provided no update at this time.
Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 4:30 p.m, in the Governor Edwards Conference Room
