ANDERSON HOSPITAL: Our Acute Rehab Unit is Award Winning

Cleveland

Anderson Hospital issued the following announcement on Dec. 10.

The Rehabilitation Center (TRC) at Anderson Hospital was recently awarded a 3-year re-accreditation by The Joint Commission and Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for their inpatient rehabilitation program and for their Stroke Specialty Program. The survey results were extremely complimentary of the program at all levels. CARF accreditation is more than a certificate on the wall. It is evidence that our organization strives to improve efficiency and service delivery—creating a foundation for continuous quality improvement and consumer satisfaction. Our CARF-accredited status recognizes that we continue to meet internationally-approved stands for the provision of quality services for people who have had a stroke. This involves rigorous external review and ensures the highest quality outcomes for our patients.  TRC has had CARF accreditation since 2007 and has been a Stroke Specialty Program since 2010. TRC is the only CARF-accredited stroke specialty program in Madison County or the Metro East. Congratulations to the entire TRC staff for the high accolades for the excellent care that they provide!

Some highlights from the survey report include:

o   “The hospital is commended for planning and initiating the upgrading of its EMR.”

o   “The hospital was recognized for their ability to retain team members…The longevity of a number of staff is an exceptional achievement.”

o   “Patients are very complimentary of staff at all levels and express high levels of satisfaction with the rehabilitation services provided.”

o   “Both internal and external referral sources expressed a high level of satisfaction with the relationship with TRC.”

o   “Staff and patients expressed how the integration of patients and families/support systems into team conference has improved communication and satisfaction throughout the program.”

o   “Staff members are very engaged and are dedicated to TRC.”
