Belleville Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on April 17.
As part of Memorial’s ongoing planning and preparation to care for the community throughout the current COVID-19 outbreak, all obstetrics (and newborn) services are being consolidated at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh.
Beginning Monday, April 6, all OB patients (and newborns) will be cared for at Memorial Hospital East, 1404 Cross Street, Shiloh, Illinois. Physicians and EMS providers have been notified of this transition to ensure the safety of our patients and their babies.
Memorial Hospital Belleville Emergency Department will be staffed with trained labor and delivery nurses in case of an emergency or to triage and safely transfer those patients to Memorial Hospital East.
