HSHS St Joseph's Hospital Highland issued the following announcement on Sept. 29.
HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland recently donated an automated external defibrillator (AED) machine to Highland High School. An AED is a portable device that can send an electric shock to restore normal heart rhythm during sudden cardiac arrest. The machine will be located on the second floor of the high school near the library. This is the second AED machine the hospital has donated to the school. An AED was donated to the school in 2017 and is located near the scoreboard between multiple sports fields at the high school.
