City of Granite City Planning & Zoning Committee Met November 2

Meeting 11

City of Granite City Planning & Zoning Committee met Nov. 12.

Alderman McDowell called the Planning & Zoning Committee Meeting to order.

McDowell stated first we have a Tabled Petition for Osaka Sushi Restaurant and after discussing the request from the Plan Commission, we are going to deny the request.

MOTION By McDowell, second by Elliott to deny the Petition from the Plan Commission for Osaka Sushi Restaurant. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

McDowell stated that next is a Tabled issue with Parktown West Mobile Home Park and turned over to Steve Willaredt of Building & Zoning.

Willaredt stated that he had been out there taken picture, no improvements, over half empty abandoned or destroyed. My opinion is that the request be denied.

MOTION By McDowell, second by Mathes that the request to have mobile homes older that 20yrs. be denied. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

McDowell stated that next we have a zoning request for the K-Mart Building that we will be denying.

MOTION By McDowell, second by Mathes to deny the Zoning request for the K-Mart Building.

ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

MOTION By McDowell, second by Elliott to go into Closed Session. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

MOTION By McDowell, second by Mathes to come out of Closed Session. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

MOTION By McDowell, second by Mathes to Adjourn the Planning & Zoning Committee Meeting. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

MEETING ADJOURNED.
