City of Granite City Economic Development & Negotiations Committee met Nov. 2.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Alderman Elliott called the Economic Development & Negotiations Committee Meeting to order.

Elliott stated we have an Ordinance to fund the One House AT A Time renewal program, this is for the funding.

Eavenson stated that the School District is very interested in the program.

Elliott stated that talking with Economic Director we would like to put some restrictions on the homes we sell, that they cannot be bought or Rental or used for Rental for so many years.

Economic Director Hamilton explained to everyone how restrictions worked for Businesses.

MOTION By Elliott, second by Eavenson to approve an Ordinance to fund the One House AT A

Time renewal program. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

Elliott stated next is an Ordinance to authorize negotiations to sell Real Estate on Konzen Court and this is about 6 acres, we would like to approve this tonight.

MOTION By Elliott, second by Jackstadt to approve an Ordinance to authorize negotiations to

sell Real Estate on Konzen Court. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

Elliott stated that next up for approval is an Ordinance to Authorize purchase of Real Estate at 1211 20th Street the UMC building for up to $75,000.00

MOTION By Elliott, second by Eavenson to approve an Ordinance to Authorize purchase of Real Estate at 1211 20th Street. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

Elliott stated that we also have a Resolution to waive and release a demolition lien on 2630 Edwards Street that is also up for approval.

Discussion by the City Council about the liens and the owners of property at 2630 Edwards. MOTION By Elliott, second by Jackstadt to approve a Resolution to waive and release a demolition lien on 2630 Edwards Street. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

MOTION By Elliott, second by Jackstadt to Adjourn the Economic Development & Negotiations Committee Meeting. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

MEETING ADJOURNED.
