City of Collinsville issued the following announcement on Dec. 21.

Providing Aid to Local Businesses Impacted by COVID-19

The Collinsville Business Relief Fund Program is a subgrantor of the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s (DCEO) Local CURES Economic Support Program. The Business Relief Fund Program is designed to help stabilize and fortify local businesses that have experienced significant disruption or temporary closure (a “business interruption”) of their business attributable to the COVID-19 public health emergency during the period beginning March 1, 2020, and ending December 31, 2020.

The Collinsville Business Relief Fund Program may award eligible local businesses a grant for the reimbursement of eligible costs and/or losses incurred due to COVID-19 related disruptions or interruptions of business including: inventory, equipment, compensation, rent, e-commerce technology, professional services, loss revenues, and other working capital expenses that could have been realized had the COVID-19 pandemic not occurred. Application to the Business Relief Fund Program does not guarantee award.

TOTAL BUSINESS RELIEF FUND PROGRAM ALLOCATION: $509,651.00

MAXIMUM GRANT AWARD REIMBURSEMENT: $25,000.00/Eligible Business

MINIMUM GRANT AWARD REIMBURSEMENT: $5,000.00/Eligible Business

(Maximum Grant Award Reimbursement shall not to exceed the value of actual eligible costs and/or losses incurred. Grant requests must meet the Minimum Grant Award Reimbursement amount of $5,000.00. All applications are subject to the availability of funding, and will be awarded on a "first-come-first-served" basis. Application submission does not guarantee grant award.)

  • Spas and Salons
  • Retail Stores
  • Businesses within the Tourism and Hospitality Industry

STEP 1: Download Required Forms

  1. Business Relief Fund Program Guidelines, Application, and Supporting Documents Checklist
  2. Business Relief Fund Program Business Certification and Requirements Form
STEP 2:  Review the Collinsville Business Relief Program Guidelines and Certification and Requirements Form to verify that your business meets all Program requirements and guidelines.

STEP 3: Complete the Required Forms and verify that all Supporting Documents are valid and attached your submittal. 

STEP 4: Submit the Application Form, Supporting Documents, and Business Certification and Requirements Form. There three convenient ways to submit your application:

  1. Upload your Application Packet using the Upload Form on this webpage below. 
  2. Email your Application Packet as a PDF attachment(s) to Associate Planner Cristen Hardin at chardin@collinsvilleil.org with Subject Line: LOCAL BUSINESS RELIEF FUND APPLICATION.
  3. Applications can also be submitted at City Hall by scheduling an application submission appointment also with Associate Planner Cristen Hardin at chardin@collinsvilleil.org or 618-346-5200 x1140.
