Veteran state Rep. Dan Brady (R-Bloomington) recently attended the Livingston County Farm Bureau Breakfast where he made it a point of huddling with Livingston County Sheriff Tony Childress.
“Enjoyed breakfast with Livingston County Sheriff Tony Childress at the Pontiac Elks this morning,” Brady captioned a photo of the two he posted to Facebook.
In recent times, Brady has been a vocal critic of House Bill 3653, blasting the Criminal Justice and Reform Bill Gov. J.B. Pritzker recently signed into law as a measure that will make it more difficult for law enforcement to do their job while making the streets less safe.
“In a nutshell, these changes will make it much harder for police to do their primary job: to arrest and detain suspected criminals,” Brady said in a post to his website. “What’s more, the bill is hundreds of pages long and was literally pushed through in the final minutes of our session this morning.”
