Rabine for Governor has issued the following press release:
More than 200 Republicans gathered in Granite City for the annual Madison County Lincoln Day Dinner to listen to Gary Rabine and other candidates discuss their vision for Illinois.
“J.B. Pritzker and the woke elites in Springfield have declared a war on Illinois families,” Rabine said. “There were a record setting 50,000 people who signed witness slips opposing legislation to limit the Right of Conscience for Illinois workers, but their voices were ignored. Time and time again, the people speak and time and time again, Pritzker and the legislative leaders in Springfield ignore them. No more. As governor, I will stand up for families. My priorities will be to lower taxes, create jobs and to stop Pritzker’s war on families.”
Rabine also spoke about being a lead plaintiff in the Job Creators Network lawsuit against the Biden Administration’s vaccine mandates on small employers.
“These mandates are an assault on our freedoms and an attack on working people,” Rabine, a JCN Founding Board Member, said. “If we do nothing, these mandates will stand. I cannot sit by and do nothing. We must stand up for our rights as Americans or risk losing our freedom in the name of security and that is exactly what I am doing with this lawsuit.”
The day after the dinner, Rabine met with Pastor Barry Simmons of the New Visions World Ministries in Cahokia Heights. Pastor Simmons is looking for help to mentor and train young people in his community to get good paying jobs and turn away from a life of crime.
“Pastor Brooks is doing some amazing things in southern Illinois, but he needs help,” Rabine said. “He needs a governor who will put words into action. I look forward to working with good people like Pastor Simmons to help them continue to provide services to troubled youth. We can’t let these kids fall through the cracks.”
