On Aug. 27, Jeffrey Gunter purchased a home at 236 Alben St., Alton from Mark Allen and Christopher Richard and Steven Lawrence Beiser for $134,500.

The amount paid for property taxes on this property in 2018 was $1,744.80, 1.3% of the sale price of the home.

So far in August 2021, this is the only property that sold in Alton as of this publication.

According to the Illinois State Board of Elections, there were two registered voters residing at 236 Alben St. as of Oct. 10, 2020: Henry P Beiser, and Suzanne R. Beiser, 84.
